Hackintosh Mojave Installer supports AMD: Normally, computers that use AMD processors are unsupported by Mac OS X. However, Hackintosh Mojave Installer includes experimental “patched” kernels that may allow Mac OS X to work with these processors regardless. Things you’ll need:. A copy of the macOS Mojave Installer App. This can be obtained from the Mac App Store using a machine that supports Mojave, or by using the built-in downloading feature of the tool. In the Menu Bar, simply select ’Tools Download macOS Mojave.’ Mac Mini Mid-2009 to Late-2009 (unsupported WiFi modules, GUI glitches) Mac Mini Mid-2010 (GUI glitches) Mac Mini Mid-2011 (all models except for HD 3000 experience GUI glitches) MacPro 3,1 Early-2008; MacBook Late-2008; MacBook Early-2009 to Mid-2010 (GUI glitches) Download macOS Mojave Patcher tool. DMG file (official link).
Important Notes:
*Using APFS is REQUIRED in Mojave in order to receive system updates via the normal Software Update method. If you choose to continue using macOS Extended (Journaled) as your filesystem type, you will NOT receive System Updates via System Preferences. If you are not using APFS, you can follow the 10.14.1 installation steps below.
*After applying ANY system update via Software Update, re-applying post-install patches using your Mojave Patcher installer volume will most likely be necessary. If you install a software update and the system fails to boot afterwards, this is what needs to be done.
Download Mac Os Mojave Unsupported10.14.6
10.14.6 can be updated normally via Software Update if using an APFS volume, and will need to be patched using an installer volume created with Mojave Patcher version 1.3.2 or later after installing.
10.14.5
10.14.5 can be updated normally via Software Update if using an APFS volume, and will need to be patched using an installer volume created with Mojave Patcher version 1.3.1 or later after installing.
10.14.4
10.14.4 adds new changes that ARE NOT patchable by the post-install tool of Mojave Patcher v1.2.3 and older! Before updating to 10.14.4, you you will need to use the latest Mojave Patcher version to create a new installer volume, using the 10.14.4 installer app. Then, update to 10.14.4, either by installing via Software Update, or by just using the installer volume you’ve created to install.
10.14.3
If you are currently running 10.14.1 or 10.14.2, you can simply use the Software Update pane of System Preferences (if using APFS) to apply the 10.14.3 update. Once the update is installed, you will most likely need to re-apply post-install patches to get the system to boot again. This process is detailed in steps 8 - 10 above. If you are currently running 10.14.0, you’ll need to proceed with the 10.14.1 update method described below.
10.14.2Download Mojave On Unsupported Mac
If you are currently running 10.14.1, you can simply use the Software Update pane of System Preferences (if using APFS) to apply the 10.14.2 update. Once the update is installed, you will most likely need to re-apply post-install patches to get the system to boot again. This process is detailed in steps 8 - 10 above. If you are currently running 10.14.0, or are using a non-AFPS volume, you’ll need to proceed with the 10.14.1 update method described below.
10.14.1/macOS Extended (Journaled) volumes
The Mojave 10.14.1 update does NOT install properly on unsupported machines, and could result in an unbootable OS. If you want to install the 10.14.1 update (and are not currently running 10.14.1), perform the following steps: • Download the latest version of Mojave Patcher • Download the installer using the Tools menu of Mojave Patcher• Create a patched USB installer • Boot from that, and install 10.14.1 onto the volume containing an older release.• Once done, apply the post-install patches, and you should now be on 10.14.1.Mac Mojave Download Link
Last month I talked about what’s in my tech bag. In that post, I professed my love for my Late 2011 MacBook Pro. It is my first and only Mac. It has all the ports I need unlike the newer MacBook Pros. It edits HD video just fine in Final Cut Pro X and edits audio just fine in Garage Band. The only thing I would like to have is USB 3.0 as this guy still had USB 2.0.Mojave For Unsupported Mac Download
macOS Mojave on a Late 2011 MacBook Pro
Apple has always been great with supporting older devices. I believe the latest version of iOS supports iPhones going back to the iPhone 6. Compare that to Samsung and other Android manufacturers that aren’t directly affiliated with Google.
Computer hardware doesn’t seem to evolve as quickly as mobile hardware has over the past few years and people are not as quick to replace their computers as they are their mobile phones. The decision to not support older Macs was a bit of a surprise considering the only real issue holding back the upgradability has to deal with the graphics card.Download Mojave Unsupported Mac Os
macOS Mojave requires a graphics card that supports Metal, an Apple technology that lets the system and apps efficiently tap into the capabilities of today’s graphics processors (GPUs).
Thankfully, there are some smart folks out there that have created a patch that allows macOS Mojave to be installed onto some unsupported Macs. I have been running the patched version for some time now on my one and only Mac with no issues.
The tutorial I used was from dosdude1 on Youtube. It was a very straight forward and clean installation. The Mojave Patcher Tool for Unsupported Macs is available for download from DosDude1’s website.Download Mac Os Mojave App
I did a clean install of Mojave, as suggested in the video. I have had no issues to date. It really is a simple process and if you are a fan of Dark Mode All The Things like I am and you have an older Mac, this one is a no brainer.
This advice comes with all the typical caveats of backing up your device first, etc. and your experience may be different than mine, so take it with a grain of salt. Also, I have moved much of my workflow from the MacBook Pro to the iPad Pro thanks to apps like LumaFusion, but I still use the MacBook Pro for work since the virtual desktop experience is smoother on the Mac than it is in iOS at the time of this writing.
Do you have any unsupported Mac? Have you tried using the Patcher Tool? What has your experience been? Let us know in the comments below.
